At least seven people, including four children, were burnt in a blast at a house in Soldier Bazaar area east of Karachi on Friday morning.

Seven members of the same family who were burnt by the blast were shifted to Burns Center of Civil Hospital.

The injured include 40-year-old Anna’s wife Imran, 22-year-old Nilufar daughter Saleem, 7-year-old Shayan son of Imran, his sisters Rabia Imran, 6, Amna, 3, and Farwa, 4.

A police bomb disposal squad arrived at the scene and inspected the house.

Police say no evidence of sabotage or terrorism was initially found in the house. The blast was allegedly caused by gas accumulation in the house, which is under further investigation.
