Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan said on Tuesday that pressure on hospitals is growing with the rising number of patients.
Addressing media in Islamabad, he urged everyone to strictly follow the SOPs to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Faisal Sultan said that the third wave of Coronavirus is more severe and patients are coming with COVID-19 infection in hospitals in Islamabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and other areas of the country.
He requested people to take the spread of Covid-19 seriously and strictly follow the SOPs being communicated by the health authorities.
He also said that people should avoid going to gatherings in closed places. He also appreciated health authorities and frontline workers.
Earlier, Dr. Faisal Sultan said that orders have been placed for the purchase of coronavirus vaccine.
Dr. Faisal took to Twitter and wrote that the vaccine drive continues and the arrival of the vaccine is expected within days.
“Our Covid vaccine drive continues. Orders placed for purchase of Covid vaccines (Sinopharm, 1 million doses; CanSino, 60K doses). Arrival expected within days. Several million additional doses in the pipeline for April, inshallah.”
