PML-N National Assembly member Javed Latif was granted interim bail till March 30.

Mian Javed Latif had applied for bail in the Sessions Court. The court restrained the police from arresting Javed Latif.

The court granted bail in exchange for bail bonds of Rs 50,000 and sought a record of Javed Latif from the police at the next hearing.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Aslam Panjutha heard the petition. Javed Latif took a stand in the petition filed through Farhad Ali Shah Advocate that the FIR against me was registered on political grounds. There are foundations.

Counsel for the petitioner said that the petitioner is a political figure and Member of Assembly, the allegations made in the FIR are baseless and contrary to the facts, the purpose of filing the FIR is to blackmail and put pressure on the petitioner.

The petition requested that the bail of the petitioner be granted before arrest.
