167 out of 168 members of the Sindh Assembly exercised their franchise in the elections for 11 Senate seats from the Sindh Assembly, while Syed Abdul Rashid, a member of the Jamaat-e-Islami, did not cast his vote under party policy.
According to Election Commission sources, 4 out of 167 votes have been rejected.
According to unofficial results so far, Palwasha Khan got 60 votes from the Sindh Assembly while Khaleda Ateeb of Muttahida Qaumi Movement also got 57 votes.
According to Election Commission sources, PPP’s Sherry Rehman, Jam Mehtab, Farooq H Naik and Saleem Mandviwala have also been declared successful.
PPP’s Farooq H Naik won with 61 votes while Farooq H Naik got 5 votes more in Technocrat seat. His opponent Karim Khawaja of PTI got 43 votes and Yeshaullah of Tehreek-e-Labeek got 3 votes
