UMERKOT: Devastations of rain continued on 10th consecutive day in the district, putting the life to halt, PTI MNA Lal Malhi lashed PPP for its poor governance and lazy relatedness despite the forecast of heavy rains.

As per area people Samaro, Pithoro talukas have been flooded 100 percent where all the standing crops have been flooded. Burhan Kunbhar information secretary PPP district Umerkot told Dawn that they have shifted 1000 families in two tents colonies one at Ratnor road and another at Chhachhro road, who have regularly been provided water, food, and health facilities. He added that they need more 1000 tents to accommodate the calamity hit people of district.

On the other hand, federal parliamentary secretary PTI MNA Lalchand Malhi has lashed PPP and local leadership. Added that when heavy rains were predicted, the Sindh government had announced a rain emergency then why disaster risk reduction policy was not brought in practice. Why planning was not hatched to get prepared for immediate rescue, relief operation.
