The Meteorological Department says that Karachi is in the grip of heat wave these days and even today (Friday) the mercury can touch 41 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, hot and dry weather is expected during the next 24 hours. The minimum temperature was recorded at 21 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to be between 39 and 41 degrees.

The city of Quaid is in fog, the eyesight near the airport has been recorded at 4 km, winds can blow from the northwest in the city while the humidity is 20%.

The Meteorological Department added that the heatwave is likely to continue in Karachi till April 3.
