Five persons including four students were killed and two others were injured in a collision of a speeding van in Khairpur.
Students staged a sit-in on Mehran Highway against the incident while traders went on strike.
According to police, the tragic accident took place on Mehran Highway near Kot Lalu where the van lost control of the driver and hit two motorcyclists.
According to sources, school children were riding on both the motorcycles. Five people including four students were killed and two children were injured in the accident.
The students killed in the accident are between 10 and 12 years old while the injured have been shifted to Nawabshah Hospital.
As soon as the incident was reported, school students staged a sit-in protest on Mehran Highway while traders also went on a shutter-down strike demanding the arrest of the van driver.
