The accused in the case of rape of a woman on Lahore-Sialkot Motorway will be sentenced today.
Police, with the help of a data bank, traced the main accused, Abid Malhi. Another suspect, Shafqat, was arrested on the identification of detainees.
Yesterday, the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court had reserved its verdict in the motorway abuse case.
The statements of the accused under section 342 of the Criminal Code were recorded in the court. About 37 witnesses including forensic team and dolphin officer appeared before the court.
It should be noted that the incident of motorway abuse case took place in September 2020. The accused had raped a woman on Sialkot Motorway in front of her children.
