Tanzania’s Vice President Samia Hassan became the country’s first female president.
Samia Hassan, 61, will serve as president for the rest of her constitutional term, ending in 2025, following the sudden death of President John Mugabe.
Earlier, Samia Hassan made history by being elected the first vice president in 2015.
