Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has won the by-election in the Sindh Assembly constituency PS-88-Karachi, unofficial result declared on Tuesday.

According to unofficial result, PPP candidate Yousuf Baloch secured 24,251 votes to win the PS-88-Karachi by-election. Syed Kashif Ali Shah of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan remained second by getting 6,099 votes. Jansher Junajo remained third with 4,870 votes.

According to unofficial and unconfirmed results, Syed Kashif Ali of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan came second with 6,090 votes. PTI’s Jan Sher Junejo came third with 4,870 votes.

At least 108 polling stations were set up in the constituency for the by-election. Tight security arrangements were made to maintain law and order situation in the constituency.

MQM Pakistan’s Sajid Ahmed got only 2,635 votes. According to unofficial and unconfirmed results of PS-43 Sanghar constituency of Sindh, PPP candidate Jam Shabbir Ali also won.

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has termed the victory of PPP candidates in the by-elections as the victory of the people.

He also congratulated the winners.
