The United States has imposed sanctions on Myanmar’s coup leaders.
US President Joe Biden has approved the executive order to this effect which focuses on military leaders, their family members and businesses linked to them.
Meanwhile, protest demonstrations continue in Myanmar demanding an end to the coup.
