KARACHI: Two main opposition parties have rejected the formation of the Inquiry Committee on Broadsheet led by Justice (retd) Sheikh Azmat Saeed.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) on Friday trashed the inquiry committee set up by the government on the revelations made by Broadsheet owner Kaveh Moussavi, demanded Azmat Saeed himself stepdown.

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in his media briefing in Islamabad strongly criticized formation of Broadsheet Investigation Commission and demanded that Azmat Saeed himself was the part of agreement with Broadsheet, thus he should not be head of the commission, he must stepdown himself.

Information Secretary of PPP, MNA Shazia Maree in her press conference at Karachi Press Club has said that his party rejected Broadsheet commission.

The federal government on Thursday had appointed Justice (r) Sheikh Azmat Saeed as Head of Inquiry Committee formed to probe the Broadsheet matter. This was shared by the Information Minister Senator Shibli Faraz in a tweet.
