Pakistan has recorded 1,877 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours taking the national tally to 504,293.

According to the statistics by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), with 32 more deaths in a single day, the country’s death toll now stands at 10, 676.

With 1,402 more recoveries, the national recovery toll has risen to 458,371. The active cases toll is at 35,246.

So far Sindh has reported a total of 226,338 infections, Punjab 145,508, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 61,424, Balochistan 18,412, Islamabad 39,242, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 8,489, and Gilgit Baltistan 4,880.

Meanwhile, the Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has urged the people to follow precautionary measures in order to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

In his tweet on Monday, he referred to the devastation unfolding in the US and the UK due to the pandemic.

He said we will have to play our role and do the right things to save lives and livelihoods.
