Pakistan now trails by 362 runs. New Zealand reached 599 for 6 at the second break, stretching their lead to 302 runs during the rain-affected session between lunch and tea.

Williamson and Daryl Mitchell then produced a century partnership from 133 balls which added to the weight of New Zealand’s first-innings lead and the burden on Pakistan.
