QUETTA: The Hazara community has staged a sit-in in Quetta after unidentified gunmen killed 11 coal miners in Machh area of ​​Balochistan. Militants have inhumanely cut off workers and strangled them to death. According to local sources, the miners were killed with their hands tied behind their backs. The victims are said to belong to the Hazara community.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted after the incident: “The reprehensible killing of 11 innocent coal miners in Machh area of ​​Balochistan is another incident of inhumane cowardly terrorism. The FC has been ordered to use all resources.” The killers should be arrested and brought to justice. The government will not leave the affected families alone.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned terrorism in Bolan district of Balochistan and said that the brutal killing of 11 poor miners is a serious form of terrorism. Condemns the government to take steps to protect the workers of the coal mining sector and ensure safety.

He asked the federal government to provide compensation to the affected families and ensure that such incidents do not happen again. Earlier, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal and Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langu strongly condemned the attack on miners in Gushtari area of ​​Machh and demanded a report from the concerned authorities.

In a statement, the provincial home minister said that no effort would be spared in arresting the accused. “An unsuccessful attempt is being made to sabotage the peace of the province. Terrorism in any form is unacceptable. Security sources in the area confirmed that gunmen killed the miners and injured several others.
