Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has announced its participation in the by-elections.

Talking to media after the PDM meeting in Lahore, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that people belonging to all walks of life are including media persons are also oppressed. Democracy in Pakistan should convey the voice of supremacy of the constitution to the nation.

Fazlur Rehman said that all the members of the Assembly have submitted their resignations to the party leader by December 31.

He said that the PDM leadership will announce the date of the long march after consultation, which would be held towards Islamabad or Rawalpindi.

Fazlur Rehman further said that the PDM will hold a protest in front of the Election Commission and NAB office in Islamabad on January 19.

Reacting to the PDM meeting, Federal Minister Murad Saeed said, “Fazlur Rehman’s face was indicating that he was a loser. He is the twelfth player in politics when he was asked about his assets he started targeting the institutions.

Murad Saeed said that Maulana says that resignations of members of all parties have been received but his own party members have not sent the resignations yet.

Earlier, Pakistan Democratic Movement chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz claimed that members of all parties in the PDM had submitted their resignations to their leadership.
