In India, Muslim leaders and organizations have expressed dismay over the special court’s judgment that exonerated all 32-surviving accused in the Babri Mosque demolition case.

According to media reports, President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Asaduddin Owaisi termed the day of court decision as a black day.

He said the verdict amounted to telling people that the violence pays.

Spokesperson of All India Muslim Personal Law Board Zafryab Jilani said Board are not satisfied with the verdict. It is against both evidence and the law.

He said Muslim Personal Law Board will approach the High Court in this case.

Noted Muslim cleric Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali said the leaders will sit and decide further course of action.
