Pakistan cricket team bowling coach Waqar Younis says that fast bowlers Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Aamir suddenly decided not to play Test cricket before the tour of Australia and harmed Pakistan and by doing so they left the Pakistani team in trouble.

He said that if Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir were not to play Test cricket, they should have talked to the cricket board regularly. Both of them had left the team in trouble and their move has hurt Pakistan.

Talking to reporters via video link from Sydney, Waqar Younis spoke in detail about the situation created by Pakistani cricket and especially the Corona virus.

Waqar Younis said, “Which format the player wants to play in and which he does not.” You can’t stop or ban anyone from doing this, but at least the cricket board should know about it.

“Before making a decision, the player should take the board into confidence and not make a sudden decision like Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir did. Their sudden decision to skip the Tests before the tour of Australia was a major setback.
