Due to the protest of a religious party in Karachi, protests are still going on at two places in the city and traffic is blocked.
Traffic was also stopped at Faisal Star Gate and Orangi Town No. 5 in the morning. However, after the talks, traffic has been restored in these two areas.
According to the traffic police, sit-ins are still going on at Baldia Hub River Road and Korangi Dhai No. 2, the road leading from Korangi Dhai No. 3 is closed for traffic.
Meanwhile, a large number of police personnel are present at Star Gate on Faisal Street. According to the traffic police, the protesters are repeatedly trying to block the road while the police have opened the road and deployed additional personnel.
Traffic police said that the road from Malir to and from the airport was open for traffic.
The traffic police said that alternative routes are being provided to the citizens from the places of block routes, while the traffic in most parts of the city is normal.
On the other hand, the traffic police says that citizens should take alternative routes to avoid trouble.
Due to the protests yesterday, the traffic system in the city was disrupted while many flights were delayed and several citizens could not reach the airport.
