Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has said that schools from class one to eight in Corona affected districts across the country will remain closed till April 28.
In a media briefing after the NCOC meeting, Shafqat Mahmood said that it was unanimously decided in the meeting that there would be examinations from class IX to class XII.
The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) held a special meeting on opening or closing educational institutions in the country following the outbreak of the third wave of corona virus.
The meeting of NCOC chaired by Asad Umar is attended by federal and provincial education and health ministers. The situation of examinations was also reviewed.
The meeting is also expected to take decisions on SOPs during Ramadan. The Federal Health Department’s proposal to close educational institutions in Islamabad for a few more days is also under consideration.
On the other hand, schools in Sindh have been closed for 15 days from today till the eighth grade. Business centers across Sindh will remain closed on Friday and Sunday.
