Eight people of a same family including two women and three children were killed when an overspeeding truck hit a private car near Burewala on Thursday.

The dead included 2 men, 3 women and 3 children. The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

According to the details, the tragic incident took place near 463 EB, a village on Lydon Road, where a passenger car went under the truck due to high speed.

The accident was so severe that 8 people in the car died on the spot.

Rescue teams cut the bodies of the car and truck, removed the trapped bodies of the passengers and shifted them to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Local police have launched an investigation into the accident. All the occupants of the car belong to the same family who were traveling from London to Lahore.

The deceased have been identified as driver Muhammad Jahangir son of Fayyaz Ahmed Mouza Aliuddin Lydon, Shehryar, Mahesh’s wife Muhammad Imran, Ahmed son of Jahangir age 4 years, Ali son of Jahangir age 7 months, Maria daughter of Jahangir age 6 years, Soha and Blue K. Is done by names.
