The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly has unanimously passed a historic resolution to make Gilgit-Baltistan an interim province.
The resolution was moved by Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid. The resolution called for Gilgit-Baltistan to be represented in the Senate and National Assembly.
The resolution said that Gilgit-Baltistan should be made an interim province without affecting the Kashmir issue and the GB should also be represented in the National Assembly and Senate.
Khalid Khurshid said that time is needed to represent Gilgit-Baltistan in national institutions, the people of Gilgit-Baltistan are patriotic citizens.
Khalid Khurshid’s resolution was also supported by all opposition parties.
