Islamabad High Court orders removal of Lt Gen (retd) Asad Durrani name from Exit Control List (ECL).
Hearing the petition to remove the name of Lieutenant General (retd) Asad Durrani from the ECL, Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court Athar Minallah ruled on the case after hearing the parties.
The apex court in its order said that Asad Durrani has the same rights as ordinary citizens given in the constitution. Looking at the whole record, no inquiry against Asad Durrani is pending at present.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah said that it was said that an inquiry was going on so his name is in the ECL, according to records no inquiry is going on at the moment.
