Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a meeting of the government and party spokespersons on Monday in order to discuss the current political and economic situation of the country.
According to the details, the meeting will be held on Monday evening at the PM House and will be attended by some senior leaders of the ruling political party.
The economic team of the federal government will brief the participants of the meeting over financial statistics, inflation and strategies.
The members will review the recommendations to provide immediate relief to the nationals. Discussions will be held over steps for reducing inflation and prices of essential commodities for daily usage.
The members will also hold consultations over the political rift including the strategies to counter challenges posed by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in a statement today said that no one would be allowed to create hindrance in the process of development and progress being carried out under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said there was transparent and honest leadership on the one side, a symbol of disgrace the former rulers were on the other side. The Chief Minister said that the government would complete its constitutional term.
In a separate statement, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak said that the leaders of opposition parties are trying to destabilize the government through unconstitutional means for their personal interests but their efforts would fail.
He said the political parties that are part of Pakistan Democratic Movement, are wary of one another and people would soon witness dismemberment of the alliance.
Pervez Khattak said people would not elect those who brought the country to the brink of disaster for their personal interests. He said those who looted the public money with impunity would be made accountable to public for their misdeeds and they would not be pardoned.
