Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, received Bahrain’s top military award from Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad while visiting the Arab state.
According to the media wing of Pakistan Military, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) the Order of Bahrain (First Degree) was awarded to the army chief on behalf of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in a small gathering attended by senior officials of the two countries.
ISPR said that the Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was awarded for making significant contributions to defense cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan.
During the meeting, Crown Prince welcomed General Bajwa, and highlighted various aspects of bilateral ties, particularly within military and defence cooperation.
His Royal Highness lauded the strength of the relationship shared between both countries, and the role this plays in promoting regional security and stability.
General Bajwa expressed his appreciation to HM the King for conferring upon him the Bahrain Order (First Class), as well as for the interest in developing Pakistani-Bahraini ties demonstrated by His Royal Highness.
