All banks across the country will be closed on Friday 25th, December 2020 on account of Quaid-e-Azam / Christmas.
According to the details, this announcement is in line with the holidays declared by the government for the year 2020.
On the other hand, the Embassy of Pakistan in Dublin will also remain closed on Friday.
The embassy in its official Twitter account informed that:
“Please be informed that the Embassy will remain closed on Friday 25 December 2020 on account of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas!”
Public Holidays for 2021
On December 10th, the federal government has announced public holidays in Pakistan for the year 2021.
There will be 14 public holidays in 2021, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior.
These public holidays are as follows:
Kashmir Day, February 5
Pakistan Day, March 23
Labour Day, May 1
Eid-ul-Fitr, May 14 to May 16
Eid-ul-Adha, July 21 to July 23
Independence Day, August 14
Ashura, August 18 and 19
Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), October 19
Quaid-e-Azam Day/Christmas, December 25
It is pertinent to mention here that there will be three bank holidays on January 1, April 14 (corresponding to the first of Ramadan) and July 1.
