A notification issued by the Aviation Division of the Cabinet Secretariat said that the NCOC meeting had imposed a temporary ban on passengers coming from the UK from the night of December 22 to the night of December 29 in view of the new coronavirus in the UK. The ban will apply to all passengers coming directly and indirectly from the UK.
The notification said the ban would also apply to passengers who have been in the UK for 10 days, but would not apply to passengers arriving on a transit flight from the UK.
Pakistani nationals, who are in the UK on a visit visa, will have to take a COVID-19 test 72 hours before departure, passengers from the UK will be re-tested at the airport and passengers will be kept in the government lounge until the PCR test report arrives.
