Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will meet National Assembly Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif at Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat prison.

According to the details, the meeting is expected to last for three hours. Bilawal will be accompanied by other party members such as Sherry Rehman, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Qamar Zaman Kaira.

A request was filed to the jail superintendent by PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira seeking approval for the party chairman’s meeting with the opposition leader.

Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz are currently in jail over alleged corruption since September 2020.

Earlier Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the time for dialogue has long gone and now it was time for Imran Khan to step down.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Democratic Movement has given a deadline of January 31, 2021, to the Imran Khan-led federal government for stepping down.

PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the date of the long march towards Islamabad would be announced on February 1 if the demand for the resignation was not fulfilled.
