Legendary Junaid Jamshed, the singer-turned-naat khawan is being remembered on his fourth death anniversary today (Monday).

On 7 December 2016, Junaid Jamshed died in a horrible crash of Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) flight PK-661.

Junaid Jamshed is popularly known for his globally-acclaimed anthem ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ and his work as a televangelist.

He briefly worked as a civilian contractor and engineer for the Pakistan Air Force before turning to music as a potential career option.

Jamshed and his band ‘Vital Signs’ gained immense popularity during the 80s, with their claim-to-fame songs like ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’, ‘Aitebaar’, ‘Hum Tum’, ‘Dil Ki Baat’ and various others.

Dil Dil Pakistan immediately won Pakistanis’ patriotic hearts when it was released on Independence Day, 1987.

He ruled the pop music industry for almost 15 years, but he bid farewell to his music career in order to serve humanity by enlightening it with spiritual knowledge and religious guidance. During his life, he also launched a clothing line under the name J. in order to maintain an income source.

In December 2016, Junaid lost his life along with his first wife in a tragic aeroplane crash. He was travelling on from Chitral to Islamabad crashed in Havelian.
