The Pakistan Meteorological Department said on Friday that fog will continue to cover Karachi and other parts of Sindh due to humidity and low temperatures until December 10.

According to the details, the MET has predicted the once the western system hits the area from December 6 to 7, Quaid’s city will witness less fog. On the other hand, the winds will blow in Karachi and other parts of the province from December 10.

Fog develops when the cool air mixes with warm moist air over the water, and the moist air cools until its humidity reaches 100%.

The MET official said while stressing that the fog is seasonal that it usually disappears after the temperature increases and the sun rises. It added that areas that are close to sea, canals, and rivers are more prone to fog
