At least one person has been killed and four people have been wounded in a blast that took place in Rawalpindi on Friday, local media reported.
The blast took place in a Chingqi rickshaw at Peer Wadhai bus stand in Rawalpindi. The rickshaw was parked at the bus stand. Windows and mirrors of several nearby shops shattered after the blast.
Police and rescue officials reached the scene soon after the incident. The injured ones have been taken to a nearby health facility.
Police said that the exact nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained. However, they opined that it is not a gas cylinder explosion. The police teams have cordoned off the area and gathered evidence from the blast site.
Earlier in October, at least 5 people died and 23 were injured as An explosion has been reported near Maskan Chowrangi Wednesday morning.
The explosion took place near Maskan Chowrangi in the Gulshan-i-Iqbal area, Karachi.
Several people got injured and the blast led to chaos among the people, initial reports said. The injured have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
