A fire broke out on Tuesday at a warehouse located in Karachi’s Shershah area, local media reported.

According to the details, at least five fire tenders and three water tankers were immediately called in to extinguish the blaze. However, the blaze has yet to be doused after six hours.

So far no loss of life or injuries has been reported. Due to narrow and dilapidated roads, the rescue teams are finding it difficult to contain the fire. The fire team is facing difficulty because of a shortage of water. As reported, the blaze has badly damaged the warehouse.

Officials said that the material losses cannot be estimated at this point. They said that after the fire cools down, the exact causes behind it will be determined.

Earlier in October, a fire broke out at a warehouse located on Hub River Road in Karachi’s Shershah area which was later put out without incident.

According to fire brigade officials, ten fire tenders participated in putting out the fire, which had been declared a “level-3 threat”.

Water bowsers were present at the site of the fire to ensure no water shortages are experienced by fire fighting teams.
