KARACHI: Siberian winds have started blowing in Karachi city, Meteorological Department said, adding that a partial cold wave will continue till next week and the minimum temperature may drop to 9 degrees Celsius.
According to the details, icy winds have set up camp in the upper and northern parts of the country, while Siberian winds are prevailing in Karachi due to the western system.
The Meteorological Department said that the cold wave will continue from November 16 to the third week of November, during which the minimum temperature in Karachi may drop to 9 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to go up to 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.
The city is expected to be dry and cold at night during the next 24 hours.
On the other hand, after the first rain of winter in Punjab including Lahore, the weather became pleasant and cold and the increasing dangers of smog were also reduced.
