Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz arrived to Gilgit-Baltistan on a seven-day visit to begin the political campaign ahead of November 15 elections.
On early Thursday morning, Maryam Nawaz in her tweet wrote, “Onboard the plane to GB for PMLN election campaign Insha’Allah.” She will land in Skardu and visit Ghawari later today to address a rally.
The VP will address public gatherings in Skardu, Dambodas, Gohkoch, Astor and Kochlas in the next seven days. A rally will be held from Shigar to Skardu on November 6 (tomorrow).
Moreover, A dinner will be hosted for the vice-president, GB president an former chief minister Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman.
During the visit, Maryam will also be briefed on PML-N’s government’s performance in the last five years and informed about development projects in the region.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has already been in Gilgit-Baltistan to run his party’s poll campaign.
Previously, Prime Minister Imran Khan also visited Gilgit-Baltistan where he addressed the Azadi Parade on the occasion of the National Day celebrations.
