Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday announced slashing rates for electricity for the Industries by 50% from November 1, 2020.
The Prime Minister was speaking live after chairing a meeting of the federal cabinet.
Some of the measures announced are:
– No more distinction of Peak and Off-Peak hours for B1, B2, B3, etc
– 25% additional electricity to made available for for the industry
– Pakistan only country in the sub-continent to move forward after the Covid-19 pandemic
– Measure to give a boost to the construction industry
– Will provide cheaper electricity for the next 3 years
– Unit price slashed from Rs 16 per unit to Rs 8 per unit
– Small and Medium Industry to get benefit from tariff cut till June 20 next year
– Government brought stability to the economy despite the pandemic
