Prime Minister Imran Khan has emphasized on ensuring use of mask and other SOPs to prevent spread of Coronavirus in winter season.
Chairing a meeting of the National Coordination Committee in Islamabad, he said from the facts and figures ascertained from different countries, it was surfaced that coronavirus infection could spread during the winter.
The Prime Minister stressed on the provincial governments to take steps in this regard and devise a strategy.
He said today’s meeting of NCC is aimed at timely decision making to protect the nation from second wave of Coronavirus and to avoid further losses.
The meeting was briefed about latest Coronavirus pandemic situation, testing, ratio of its spread in various parts of the country, and growing number of COVID cases at the international level.
The meeting was informed that Coronavirus is resurging in the country as shown by the statistics of last six weeks and smart lockdown is being imposed in affected areas of Karachi, Islamabad, and Azad Kashmir to prevent spread of the contagion.
