LONDON: British Airways has announced that it will begin direct flights from Lahore to London four days a week from fourteenth of next month.
In a statement issued in London, the United Kingdom government said Lahore will be the second city in Pakistan that British Airways will connect to London, United States and Canada.
It further said that flights will be operated by a Boeing 787-8 departing from Heathrow Terminal 5, landing into Lahore’s International Airport.
Meanwhile, British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Dr Christian Turner has said in a statement that the first-ever British Airways flights to Lahore are a sign of confidence in Pakistan and deepening ties between two countries.
He hoped that it would open up more opportunities for business links, people-to-people ties and promotion of tourism.
