Sindh’s chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired an 18-month session of the provincial Apex Committee at the Karachi Chief Minister House on Monday.
At the meeting, it was decided to register seminars throughout the province in compliance with the protocol established for educational institutions. CM Sindh reported that seminars play an important role in providing free education to people.
Meanwhile, provincial law secretary briefed the participants on street crime legislation while he also said that 12 China-Pakistan Economic Corridor ( CPEC) projects are under construction in Sindh with the assistance of 2500 Chinese workers.
Approximately 4,500 police staff are deployed on those Chinese officials’ security, he added.
In addition, the CM directed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU) to restore service at Mai Bakhtawar Airport.
The agenda of the Apex Committee meeting also included a briefing on the condition of the province’s National Action Plan (NAP) implementation status, progress on the Karachi Safe City Program, briefing on Sindh’s current security situation and installation of motorcycle trackers.
