KARACHI: An officer in the Education Department on charges of illegal, fake recruitment. Accused Siddique Shahani, Grade 19 former Assistant District Officer Education Matiari has been arrested Anti-Corruption Establishment.
While other nominated accused Abdul Razzaq Brahmani is at large and raids are being made for his arrest. A case has been registered against the accused and investigation has been started.
In a statement, issued here on Friday, Provincial Minister for Industries & Commerce and Anti-Corruption & Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharijo has said that the steps taken by the Anti-Corruption Department to eradicate corruption were commendable.
Adding that he asked the officers to take action against those involved in corruption without fear or favor. ‘ No one is above the law and eradicating corruption from the province is his top priority’. He concluded.
