UMERKOT. Villagers staged a protest demonstration against illegal cultivation of communal land (Gaucher) in violation of the verdict of the apex court. Urged concerned quarters to take action.
Elderly woman Humera Rahimoo, Latif, Hasaan Rahimoo residents of Juman Rahimoo colony told journalists that there were 8 acres of communal land for grazing of cattle. Its cultivation was banned by the apex court and revenue department, but their neighbors Miandad, Mohsin, and Mustafa Soomro who are influential persons supported by their caste fellow politician.
They have forcibly cultivated it. Resulting in their paths, doors have been locked, they are unable to come out of homes. Unable to let cattle grass in open fields. They demanded concerned quarters to take action.
