Three people, including a child, were killed and 13 others were injured in an explosion on a police vehicle in front of Levies Jail in Chaman, Balochistan.
According to police, the blast took place in front of Levies Jail on Taj Road.
He said that the explosives were planted in the motorcycle while 3 people including a child were killed and 13 others were injured in the blast.
The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital while security forces cordoned off the area and started gathering evidence.
Balochistan Home Minister Meer Zia ullah Langau condemned the blast and expressed sorrow over the loss of life.
He demanded a report of the blast from the administration and said that the accused involved in the tragic incident did not deserve any concession while the families of the deceased would be given justice at all costs.
It should be noted that Balochistan has been suffering from unrest for some time now, which is also said to be the hand of external enemies.
Chaman is considered a sensitive area of Balochistan because it shares borders with the Afghan province of Kandahar.
A blast on Chaman’s Mall Road in August last year killed five people and injured 14.
Unidentified miscreants planted an explosive device on a motorcycle parked on the side of the road, which exploded.
Earlier in March, at least seven people were injured in a motorcycle blast on the Chaman Levies Line.
