Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is going to Raiwind today to hold important meeting with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
According to the details, the two key politicians of the opposition will be discussing the matters related to the upcoming Senate elections 2021, and Pakistan Democratic Movement.
The meeting will be held at Maryam Nawaz’s residence Jati Umrah. It is expected to start at 2 pm.
Former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Manzoor Chaudhry and other PPP leaders will be accompanied by the PPP chairman during the visit to PML-N leader residence.
Bilawal Bhutto who is already in Lahore, likely to stay for three days in connection with the preparations of Senate polls.
During his stay in Lahore, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will hold important meetings with PPP lawmakers at the residence of Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood.
Earlier in the day, PPP central leader and former premier Yousaf Raza Gillani met Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif at the courtroom here to consult over the Senate election.
Gillani, who has been a joint candidate of the opposition alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) for a senate seat from Islamabad, inquired about the health of Shehbaz Sharif in the meeting with the PML-N leader at the courtroom number 5.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had rejected objections on the nomination papers of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani.
The Returning Officer Zafar Iqbal Malik announced the reserved verdict today. Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) candidates Syed Ali Muhammad Bukhari and Farid-ur-Rehman challenged Yousuf Raza Gilani’s nomination papers, on which ECP reserved its verdict on Wednesday.
Yousaf Raza Gillani served as the prime minister from 2008 till June 19, 2012 when the Supreme Court disqualified him for the contempt of court.
