Today is the last day to file nomination papers for the upcoming Senate Election 2021.
Senate Election will be held on March 3, 2021.
The list of all the candidates contesting for the election will be published on Tuesday.
Moreover, scrutiny of the papers will be held on the 17th and 18th of February 2021.
The candidates are allowed to withdraw their nomination papers on 25th Feb while poling for the Senate seats will take place on the 3rd of March at the parliament house Islamabad and the four provincial assemblies.
Apart from that, the candidates are also allowed to file appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers on 20th February. The last date for the submission of appeals is 23rd February.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Sunday said that at least 100 candidates submitted their nomination papers so far with Returning Officers (ROs) for contesting the election on Senate vacant seats to be held on March 3.
Seventeen candidates from Punjab, 22 from Sindh, 25 from Balochistan, 30 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 6 from Islamabad have filed their nomination papers so far.
