The US President Joe Biden has signed fifteen executive orders hours on the first day hours after being sworn in as the 46th President of the country, reversing the policies of former President Donald Trump.
In a statement, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that among the most notable actions signed by President Biden are ending the travel ban on some Muslim-majority countries and re-joining the Paris Climate Accord within 30 days.
He also signed an order for implementing a national mask mandate on federal property.
White House Press Secretary said, the US will also rejoin the World Health Organization as per Biden’s order.
Meanwhile, in his inaugural address to the nation, President Biden said that today democracy has prevailed. He said it is a day of history and hope.
Highlighting a message of unity, he promised to be a President for all Americans including those who voted against him.
