Three siblings burned to death while three others sustained serious injuries in a fire that broke out in their house in Kashmir Colony of Karachi.

Soon after the incident reported, the rescue officials rushed to the spot and shifted the deceased and the injured to a nearby medical facility.

According to the rescue officials, victims have been identified as one-year-old Umaima, five-year-old Sania and six-year-old Hamza while the injured included their parents and another child.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. At least two fire brigade vehicles took part in the extinguishing the blaze.

On Monday evening, a fire broke out on a cargo ship docked at the Karachi port.

The ship is anchored at Berth 11 of the port, according to port sources. The blaze erupted when goods were being off-loaded from the ship. Port authorities are trying to extinguish the fire to minimize the losses. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident.
