Pakistan has strongly condemned rocket attacks that took place in Kabul, Afghanistan on Saturday.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri expressed condolences in a statement to the families of those who were killed in the attacks. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the wounded.

He said that we express our full solidarity and support for Afghanistan and its fraternal people.

He also said that at a time when the international community’s efforts towards the Afghan peace process are moving forward it is important to be vigilant against the spoilers who are working to undermine peace efforts.

At least 5 civilians have been killed in the multiple rocket attacks held in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul.

As per the details, at least 14 rockets landed in various areas of Kabul on Saturday morning just an hour after two IED explosions took place in Chehel Sutoon and Arzaan Qeemat areas.

The Interior Affairs Ministry said three people were killed and 11 more were wounded in the rocket attacks.

According to Afghanistan’s news source, the rockets landed in Wazir Akbar Khan and Shahr-e-Naw areas in downtown Kabul, Chahar Qala, the Traffic Roundabout, the Gul-e-Surkh Roundabout in PD4, Sedarat Roundabout, the Spinzar Road in the center of the city, near the National Archive road in PD2, and in Lysee Maryam market and Panjsad Family areas in the north of Kabul, according to the ministry.
