ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has said that the lives of children and teachers are most important but the decision to close the school has not been taken yet.
A special meeting of inter-provincial education ministers, chaired by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood, was held at the National Command and Operations Center to review the status of cases in educational institutions during the second wave of Corona.
The meeting was attended by all the provincial education ministers through video link and a briefing was given on the current situation of Corona in the country and educational institutions while the winter schedule was also considered.
According to sources, the meeting considered the proposal to extend the winter holidays from November to January, but the final decision in this regard will be taken by the National Coordinating Committee.
Final decision on winter holidays, school closures on November 23 said Shafqat Mahmood.
