Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to increase the scholarships for the students of Balochistan from 185 to 360.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Ehsaas’ Taleemi-wazaef under the Waseela-e-Taleem program today, he said that the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf government will assist the students of Balochistan in every possible way. In the past, Balochistan lagged behind due to a lack of funding. Balochistan has never received as much funding as PTI did.

He said that “no society has developed without education. Knowledge makes man unique from other creatures. The people of Turbat are the future of Pakistan. Balochistan is in dire need of educated people.”

Imran Khan is on a visit to Balochistan where he will also hold important meetings with government officials.

Imran Khan during his was briefed about the nationwide roll-out of Ehsaas’ Taleemi-wazaef for primary school-going children under the Waseela-e-Taleem program.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr. Sania Nishtar said that the prime minister would join the children and their parents to witness new enrollments of deserving children in Waseela-e-Taleem.

Following a briefing on the recent deep-rooted reforms introduced in the Waseela-e-Taleem under the umbrella of Ehsaas, Prime Minister would oversee details of a girl child being entered in the end-to-end digital system.

At the site, he would also witness the payment being made to the child’s mother, she said.

Explaining the background, Dr. Nishtar said Pakistan had been running an Education Conditional Cash Transfer for primary school-going children called Waseela-e-Taleem since 2012 in selected districts.
