The administration of Gilgit Baltistan has declared a public holiday from November 14 to 16 due to the legislative assembly elections.
Gilgit-Baltistan elections for the legislative assembly are all set to take place on November 15, and electioneering in the region is in full swing by all political parties.
This will be the third election since GB was given the power to rule itself in 2009 through its assembly. However, let’s take a look at a history of contested polls in GB.
In connection with the elections, there will be a public holiday in Gilgit-Baltistan from November 14 to 16, a notification has been issued by the Election Commission Secretariat.
