Key politicians of the Pakistan Democratic Movement will meet in Islamabad today ahead of Lahore Jalsa.
According to the details, heads of all the constituent parties of the opposition alliance will attend the session at the PML-N Secretariat.
The meeting will take important decisions regarding the Jalsa at Minar e Pakistan on December 13 amid the second wave of the novel coronavirus. Also, the meeting will discuss the future course of action against the government of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI).
Sources said that Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party and former president Asif Ali Zardari will be participating in the meeting via video link.
However, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari who was tested negative for the COVID-19 after spending time in quarantine is also expected to attend the session.
Moreover, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz will also attend the opposition meeting.
Let it be known that the Local administration of Lahore had refused a request from PDM to hold a public gathering at the Minar-e-Pakistan owing to a spike in COVID-19 cases.
Spokesperson Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Aurangzeb on Monday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan should leave his seat if he cannot fulfill his promises made to the public.
Addressing the media, Maryam Aurangzeb said that the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has brought the country on verge of destruction. “If public issues cannot be addressed then there is no need to be a Prime Minister.” Said Maryam Aurangzeb.
